What this site is, what it is not, and who operates it.

  • What is Healthy Mango?

    Healthy Mango is a bilingual educational website about peptides and related research compounds. It publishes structured, cited, plainly written summaries of what the peer-reviewed literature, regulatory documentation, and a current practitioner reference report about each compound.

    It is an information site, not a clinic, a pharmacy, a laboratory, or a peptide vendor. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or sell.

  • Is Healthy Mango a medical website?

    No. Healthy Mango is an educational information platform. It is not a healthcare provider, does not employ physicians in any provider capacity, and does not offer medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

    Nothing on the site creates a physician-patient relationship. For any personal medical question, contact a licensed clinician in your jurisdiction.

  • Why doesn't Healthy Mango provide medical advice?

    Medical advice is personalised — it depends on knowing the reader's history, medications, allergies, and clinical context. An educational website cannot know those things and would be irresponsible to pretend otherwise.

    Healthy Mango describes what published research reports at the population level. That is genuinely useful. It is also not a substitute for a clinician who knows you.

  • Who operates Healthy Mango?

    Healthy Mango is operated by HealthyMango™ LLC, a United States limited liability company. HealthyMango™ LLC is the party responsible for editorial content, for privacy practices under the Privacy Policy, and for legal notices under the Terms of Use.

  • What are peptides?

    Peptides are short chains of amino acids, usually between 2 and about 50 residues. They sit between small-molecule drugs and full proteins, and they behave differently from both — usually too fragile to survive the digestive tract and too large to cross membranes freely.

    Every compound on Healthy Mango is a peptide or a peptide-adjacent research compound.

  • What does "Research Use Only" mean?

    "Research Use Only" (RUO) is a regulatory label attached to material sold for laboratory investigation. It means the material was produced and sold outside the pharmaceutical approval chain, and that neither the seller nor a regulator represents it as suitable for human use.

    RUO is not a warranty of identity, purity, potency, sterility, or safety. It is a legal statement about how the material is being sold.

  • Are research peptides FDA-approved?

    No. The FDA approves specific pharmaceutical products, not molecules in the abstract. When a molecule (for example semaglutide) exists both as an approved product (Ozempic, Wegovy) and as a research-supply vial, those are legally, chemically, and supply-chain-wise different products. The approval attaches to the pharmaceutical product, not to the research vial.

  • Are all peptides the same?

    No. Two peptides that differ by even a single amino acid can behave very differently in pharmacology, stability, and safety profile. Class-level generalisations only go so far; the compound page is the authority for a specific molecule.

Product quality

Certificates of Analysis, what specific laboratory tests actually prove, and where their limits are.

  • What is a Certificate of Analysis?

    A Certificate of Analysis (CoA) is a laboratory report summarising the tests performed on a specific production batch. A peptide CoA typically confirms identity (usually by mass spectrometry), reports purity (usually by HPLC), and sometimes covers water content and appearance.

    The CoA is evidence about the specific sample the lab tested, on a specific date. It is not automatically evidence about every vial in the batch, and it is not evidence about safety.

  • Can a CoA prove a product is safe?

    No. A CoA reports the results of specific analytical tests under specific methods. A high purity number does not imply sterility. A confirmed identity does not imply endotoxin freedom. Even a complete panel (identity, purity, sterility, endotoxin) does not establish suitability for human use — no test a research supplier can run does.

    Read a CoA as evidence for what it tested and treat every category of contamination or defect the CoA does not test as an unknown.

  • What is HPLC?

    High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is a separation technique used to measure the purity of a peptide sample. The peptide is pushed through a column at high pressure and the components elute at different times; a UV detector produces a peak for each component.

    The purity number on a CoA is usually the area under the main peak as a percentage of all detected peaks under a specified method.

  • What is LC-MS?

    Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) combines a chromatographic separation with a mass spectrometer that measures molecular mass. For peptides it is the primary identity technique: the observed mass is compared to the theoretical mass calculated from the peptide's sequence.

  • What is endotoxin testing?

    Endotoxins are cell-wall breakdown products from Gram-negative bacteria; they can trigger strong inflammatory reactions even in nanogram amounts and are not destroyed by autoclaving. The standard test is the Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) assay (or a recombinant equivalent), reporting units per volume or per mass.

    Endotoxin testing is distinct from sterility testing. A sterile product can still contain enough endotoxin to be pyrogenic.

  • What does sterility testing mean?

    Sterility testing verifies the absence of viable microorganisms. A sample is cultured in media that support a wide range of bacteria and fungi, and the media are inspected over about 14 days.

    The test is destructive (the tested vials are consumed), and a pass is a statistical inference about the batch, not a guarantee about every vial. "Sterile-filtered" is not the same as "sterile."

Preparation and math

  • What is bacteriostatic water?

    Bacteriostatic water for injection is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. The preservative slows (does not eliminate) the growth of bacteria that may be introduced when a needle enters the vial. It is used for repeated-access reconstitutions.

  • Is sterile water the same thing?

    No. Sterile water for injection contains no preservative. It is intended for single-use reconstitutions where the entire vial is used at once. Substituting bacteriostatic water for sterile water (or vice versa) changes both the in-use time and the applicable contraindications.

  • What is lyophilization?

    Lyophilization is a manufacturing step that removes water from a peptide solution under low temperature and low pressure, leaving a dry cake or powder of peptide inside the vial. The peptide mass does not change; only the volume it occupies changes.

    Every compound page on Healthy Mango describes a lyophilized vial as the default presentation. It must be reconstituted in a diluent before it can be measured in millilitres.

  • Why do concentrations matter?

    Concentration ties the mass on the vial label to the volume in the syringe. A 10 mg vial reconstituted in 2 mL of diluent is 5 mg/mL; the volume needed for a given research amount is that amount divided by 5 mg/mL.

    Getting concentration right first, before touching a syringe, is what makes every downstream step safer.

  • What is reconstitution?

    Reconstitution is the step in which a fixed volume of a sterile diluent is added to a lyophilized vial so that the peptide dissolves into solution. Once dissolved, the solution can be drawn into a syringe and its volume can be measured. The peptide mass does not change during reconstitution — only the volume it occupies.

  • What are syringe units?

    The "units" printed on a U-100 insulin syringe are hundredths of a millilitre. 100 units is 1.0 mL; 10 units is 0.1 mL. It is a volume scale, not a mass scale — a unit does not correspond to a fixed amount of peptide.

    Confusing units-as-volume with units-as-mass is one of the most common sources of a wildly wrong dose. Always cross-check with the compound page or the Preparation Calculator's example values.

  • Why doesn't Healthy Mango recommend doses?

    Because Healthy Mango cannot know your medical history, current medications, allergies, or laboratory values. A dose that has been reported in a published trial or in a practitioner reference is not, by virtue of appearing there, safe or appropriate for any specific reader. That is a clinical decision, not an editorial one.

    The site describes what has been reported and what the arithmetic is. It leaves the decision to the reader and their clinician.

  • Can the calculator tell me what dose to use?

    No. The Preparation Calculator performs arithmetic only. It computes concentration from vial mass and diluent volume, and it converts a reported research amount into an equivalent volume. It does not verify vial identity, purity, potency, or sterility, and it does not evaluate whether the reader is an appropriate candidate for the compound.

  • Does high purity mean a product is safe?

    No. Purity is a specific analytical measurement of the fraction of a sample that is the intended peptide under a specific method. It says nothing about sterility, endotoxin content, or the vial's suitability for human use. A 99% pure vial can be contaminated or contain a wildly wrong mass.

  • Can a product look normal and still be contaminated?

    Yes. Microbial contamination and endotoxin are usually invisible; visual clarity rules out gross particulate but not much else. A dry cake that looks intact and a solution that looks clear are consistent with a good vial, but they are not proof of one.

  • What should I do if I think a product is counterfeit?

    Contact the vendor directly and preserve any packaging, labels, and Certificates of Analysis as evidence. If the situation involves personal injury or a suspected poisoning, get medical or emergency help first and preserve the material for the treating clinician.

  • What should I do in an emergency?

    Stop reading this website and get help. Call your local emergency number for any life-threatening symptom. In the United States, Poison Control is available 24 hours at 1-800-222-1222 for suspected overdoses or exposures.

    Do not use Healthy Mango contact addresses for emergencies. Those addresses are staffed for editorial and legal correspondence, not urgent triage.

Research and evidence

How Healthy Mango grades the science behind each compound.

  • Why do animal studies differ from human studies?

    Animals differ from humans in metabolism, receptor distribution, immune response, and lifespan. A signal in a mouse is evidence that a human trial is worth designing; it is not evidence that the same result will appear in humans.

    Some safety signals translate across species better than efficacy signals do. Compound pages label animal-only evidence as such (Level D on Healthy Mango's evidence scale).

  • How does Healthy Mango evaluate evidence?

    Every compound receives an evidence level (A, B, C, or D) summarising the quality and quantity of the human evidence. Level A is strong human evidence with regulatory approval; Level D is preclinical evidence with little or no human data. The grading is deliberately simple and is a starting point, not a verdict.

  • Why are practitioner protocols different from published studies?

    A published study is a controlled experiment: it isolates one intervention and measures a pre-specified endpoint. A practitioner reference describes real-world clinical practice: what practitioners have used, at what doses, in what patterns. Both are useful. They are not the same weight of evidence.

    Compound pages tag every value with the source category it came from (peer-reviewed, regulatory registry, practitioner reference, or calculated).

What information the site collects, what it does with it, and how to reach us.

  • What information does Healthy Mango collect?

    Very little today. The only user-submitted data is a newsletter email address, which the current placeholder adapter validates without persisting the local part. Hosting infrastructure (Vercel) records standard access logs. A small number of preference values (favourites, view mode) are stored in your browser's localStorage and are not transmitted.

    The site does not currently run web analytics, advertising pixels, cookies, or third-party embeds. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

  • Does Healthy Mango sell personal information?

    Not as of the effective date of the Privacy Policy. HealthyMango does not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising and does not process personal information for targeted advertising.

    The Policy reserves the future right to introduce such activities. Before any such activity begins, HealthyMango will update the Policy, publish a "Your Privacy Choices" opt-out link, implement server-side handling of the Global Privacy Control, and honour any state-law consent, opt-out, or authorisation required.
