NAD+ is often supplied with pH-adjusted or buffered diluent because unbuffered NAD+ reconstitution produces injection-site pain from non-physiological pH. Tap water is never appropriate — it is not sterile and contains minerals and dissolved organics that can react with peptide chemistry.
